I'm a Ph.D. trained theoretical physicist who's travelled the world as a researcher for well over 20 years. I've already been to every continent on planet Earth—except Antarctica—for my professional and personal travel needs, and I expect to travel internationally on a regular basis for the rest of my life.

Every time that I travel, I gain valuable insights on how to make the whole experience as enjoyable and cost-effective as humanly possible. As an experienced world traveller, I always strive to achieve a state of stress-free travel whenever I leave for some far off destination, ultimately to return home safe and satisfied.

My primary objective as a Substack writer is to entertain and inform you on both the joys and difficulties that commonly arise when travelling to a new or familiar place far away from home. As a professional scientist who regards himself as an academic business traveller, I offer a special perspective on how best to organize your own international trips effectively to minimize stress, reduce travel costs, become very time-efficient, and also maximize overall enjoyment while travelling. I want to also showcase forthright reviews of various hotels and restaurants I experienced all over the world ranging from budget to luxury—and always with an emphasis on getting the best value for money spent—no matter if you’re a student budget traveller or a wealthy business traveller.

In addition, I want to offer something more in my articles than just the typical travel narratives that are easily found elsewhere. I want to focus special attention on both the historical and contemporary topics of interest concerning every destination I visit; offer insights about advances in science, technology, and engineering that are relevant for the travel topics I want to cover; and highlight how local people live their daily lives. I’m also deeply interested in showcasing the hard work and dedication to quality service offered by people in the travel and tourist industry, plus express my appreciation for their collective effort to make my travel experiences as enjoyable as possible.

Finally, besides doing my physics research and connecting with academic colleagues located all over the world, I’m also a freelance travel writer who became a columnist for Luxe Beat, a lifestyle and luxury magazine based in New York City. I encourage you to check out my contribution to the magazine by visiting my author page found here:
